Top 5 Best Dressed Men, and Young Men, at the 2017 AMAs

Sailun Tires

The 2017 American Music Awards are full of exciting performances, showcasing the music industry’s elite and honouring their achievements throughout the year. When it comes to award shows, the red carpet is my favorite part; seeing the glamour and edge, especially at the AMAs, styles are unpredictable and bold. Without further ado, let’s look at Swagger’s Top 5 best dressed men at the 2017 AMAs:

Best Suit: Gaten Matarazzo / 2017 AMAs Best Dressed - SWAGGER Magazine

1. Best Suit: Gaten Matarazzo

Gaten Matarazzo’s purple suit was one highlight of the red carpet coming from a non-musical guest at the AMAs. Presenting an award with other members of the Stranger Things cast, Matarazzo’s outfit provided a welcome twist to a classic suit. The AMAs are the place to have fun with your style, and he certainly pulls his off in his ASOS dusky purple suit, floral print shirt and navy shoes.

2. Squad Goals: BTS

BTS are some of my favourite artists to watch for style. From stage clothing to red carpet looks, they are always coordinating, but independently unique. Boy bands from the 2000s, like N’Sync and Backstreet Boys, were often seen on red carpets looking very “matchy-matchy”; BTS takes their crew’s fashion to the next level. Mixing tones and textures together they present themselves as a cohesive unit, without losing their individuality; their SWAG is effortless.

3. Couple Goals: Carey Hart & P!nk

There were a lack of couples looks this time around, but P!nk and her husband, Carey Hart, definitely took the carpet by storm. P!nk in a on brand bright pink tiered gown, walked the carpet with Hart by her side in a classic black on black suit, paired with a splash of color with the blue tie — bold yet classic.

Most Dapper: Niall Horan / 2017 AMAs Best Dressed - SWAGGER Magazine

4. Most Dapper: Niall Horan

Niall Horan exudes sophistication in this checkered navy Paul Smith suit. Over the years, Horan’s style has become more classic and refined since his departure from One Direction and his AMA look is no exception. His personal style seems heavily influenced by classic British fashion both on and off stage; patterned jumpers, hats, and well-tailored suits all contribute to his SWAGGER. In addition to dazzling the red carpet and stage with his performance, Horan won the AMAs New Artist of the Year Award for 2017.

5. Keeping it Classy: Marshmello

While we’ve never officially seen the DJ without his mask, but it’s amazing to see this dressed up side of him. Especially in a classic black suit with a satin lapel and white shirt, strategically paired with the edgy Christian Louboutin Dandelion Spikes Flat loafers.

The AMAs are always packed with excitement and this year’s fashion was no exception. The red carpet was packed with colour, sophistication and edge. Whether it was a classic suit, floral shirt or coordinating styles, we were certainly not disappointed. With awards season around the corner, the AMAs are just the beginning of red carpet fashion moments; set your DVRs, grab some snacks, and get ready to be dazzled by your favourite celebrity celebrations.
