“Superman,” the first feature film from DC Studios, is set to fly into theaters worldwide this summer, brought to you by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Directed by James Gunn, the film offers a fresh take on the iconic superhero, blending epic action, humor, and heart. This version of Superman is driven by compassion and an unwavering belief in the goodness of humanity, redefining the classic character in the newly reimagined DC universe.
Produced by DC Studios heads Peter Safran and James Gunn, the film features Gunn’s original screenplay, based on characters from DC Comics, with Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
The cast includes David Corenswet as both Superman and Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. The ensemble also stars Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell.
The film is executive produced by Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars Winther, with Gunn collaborating with his frequent team of filmmakers, including director of photography Henry Braham, production designer Beth Mickle, costume designer Judianna Makovsky, composer John Murphy, and editors Craig Alpert, Jason Ballantine, and William Hoy.
“Superman” will hit theaters and IMAX on July 11, 2025, in the U.S., and internationally on July 9, 2025, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
