As the highly anticipated release of “Ready When I’m Gone” took place on March 21st, Dina Renée invites the world to experience not only her latest musical offering but also her remarkable journey as a creative force in the entertainment industry.
Hollywood Times Magazine has a unique opportunity to spotlight this talented artist, whose perseverance, creativity, and unyielding passion make her a standout in the industry.

Dina Renée, an upcoming pop artist originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, and now based in Los Angeles, CA, has always had a deep love for music. She taught herself how to play the piano by ear at the age of three and began writing songs shortly after. Inspired by her older siblings, both of whom are musicians, and legendary artists such as Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, and Sheryl Crow, Dina pursued her passion relentlessly.
Despite her talent, Dina faced numerous challenges during her upbringing. She endured multiple health issues and surgeries, and was often bullied for having a lisp, which made her shy about singing in her authentic voice. However, in high school, she discovered acting and comedy, which allowed her to break out of her shell. During this time, she recorded her first comedy songs and entertained people with her remarkable impersonations. Her hard work and perfectionism earned her a scholarship to the University of Tennessee, where she graduated before setting her sights on Los Angeles.

Tragedy struck just as Dina was ready to embark on her career. A month after graduation, she received the devastating news that her mother had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Being the youngest in her family, Dina shared a particularly close bond with her mother and struggled to come to terms with the news. A year later, tragedy struck again when her best friend was found murdered. The overwhelming grief pushed Dina to realize how short life truly is, and after her mother’s remission, she made the life-changing decision to move to LA.
Dina’s early years in Los Angeles were a mix of triumphs and struggles. She landed featured roles on several TV shows and recorded music with a Grammy-nominated producer. However, when her mother’s cancer returned, Dina spent years traveling back and forth to Tennessee, balancing her pursuit of music and acting with her desire to be by her mother’s side. Before her mother’s passing in 2015, Dina had released her first two pop singles, donating a percentage of the proceeds to St. Jude’s Hospital. Her mother’s death profoundly shifted her outlook on life, but she honored a promise to keep going and soon began performing all over Los Angeles.

Dina Renée’s latest track, “Ready When I’m Gone,” is a testament to her resilience and artistic growth. The song combines infectious dance beats with significant lyrics, blending nostalgic Britney Spears-like pop with a modern, Calvin Harris-inspired house vibe. It carries an empowering message of self-worth and liberation from toxic relationships, making it not just a chart-worthy hit but an anthem for those overcoming personal struggles.
Her ability to channel personal hardship into her music is what makes Dina Renée stand out. Having endured immense loss and challenges, she continues to push forward, using her artistry to inspire and uplift. Her previous singles have gained significant recognition receiving multiple write ups and more than a million streams on Spotify. Now, with “Ready When I’m Gone,” Dina cements her place in the industry as both a talented musician and an inspiring figure.

Dina Renée’s goal is to encourage others to pursue their dreams without hesitation. Her mantra, “Do it now,” reflects her belief that life is too short to wait. Currently, she is completing her EP and performing at various venues across Los Angeles, sharing her music and message of resilience with the world.
