The runway is still hot from the incredible show that live streaming app Uplive and e-commerce Hekka Fashion, brought to New York Fashion Week on February 15th.
The ready-to-wear runway collection, followed by an awards ceremony and an immersive entertainment programme, were all streamed live on the global live streaming platform Uplive. The popular social app allows users to live broadcast their content live and be paid by supporters. Unlike other popular streaming services, Uplive focuses on showcasing talent, inclusivity, and diversity.
Among the celebrities and influencers who attended the Uplive x Hekka NYFW event was international model, author, and public figure Maye Musk. Speaking to Maye she shared her supporting to diversity and the opportunities UPLIVE provides to their talents.
After the event, Uplive hosted the New York Fashion Week Talent Awards – a ceremony that celebrated the most talented fashion personalities from around the world. Hosted online for second year running, the Awards saw models, influencers, celebrities, and fashion artists compete for the Top Fashion Awards Title and other benefits such as New York Fashion Week experience passes, the media exposure opportunities, and more.
There is a trend that more brands choose to live stream their show or even release their new collection digitally. However, the way Uplive choose to stream the show is very creative. We see many influencers are streaming with their phones end to end, and their fans could see NYFW from their unique angle.
