Vaping is high on-trend right now. A lot of smokers and even non-smokers are trying vaping for its intricate designs, the luscious smoke, and the delicious flavors. There are a lot of things that you must consider before you choose a juice for yourself. If you’ve also heard the buzz about e-cigs and wish to give it a try or just want to learn more about these liquids, here is everything you need to know about the endless flavors, the perfect dosage and the right composition of electronic fluids.

What is an electronic liquid?

E-liquid is a mixture of certain chemicals contained inside a vape tank. From the vape tank, this liquid is transported to nichrome coils inside the E-cigarette, where the coils receive power from a battery and evaporate this liquid into an aerosol. This aerosol or vapor is what you inhale and exhale during vaping.

Most people try vaping for this juice. It has far less number of chemical toxicants when compared to regular cigarette smoking. However, it is still not the safest thing to do. Far less than what smoking does, but vaping too causes damage to the lungs.

Another reason for the popularity of vape is that it’s fireless and odorless. You don’t always need to carry a match or lighter in your pocket, and also, you don’t need to worry about the room getting suffocated due to your smoke.

All the good flavors

The nicotine content and the PG/VG composition is great, but if you don’t like the flavor, you are not going to enjoy that vaping session. Vaping juices are available in almost every taste you can think of – chocolate, coffee, vanilla, berries, bubblegum, cola, peach, and whatnot, and to explore more; you might want to head for a ‘vape store near me’ quest.

You can get juices in food flavors like pizza, cake, wafer, and all the good fruits like grapes, strawberry, mango, watermelon, etc. If you have just switched from smoking, you can find tobacco blends that perfectly clone the flavor of your favorite cigarette brand.

A pro tip for beginners is to avoid using intense and acidic flavors like mint, lemon, lime, tabasco, etc. if you have a plastic vape tank because plastic particles of the walls of the container can dissolve into the acid and make your juice distasteful. Also, when using such strong flavors, make sure to wash your tank before you pour in any other flavor to avoid mixing of flavors.

The right dosage

Another great thing about vaping juices is their nicotine concentration. You can always alter the dosage according to your satisfaction and capacity. Getting the perfect nicotine concentration is very important as if it’s too low, you will feel the urge to vape more than what you should be vaping, and if it’s too high, it will give you headaches.

Light smokers that consume five cigarettes a day must get a dosage of 6 mg or below. Medium smokers that finish more than half a pack a day, that is, more than ten cigarettes per day, must go for 9 mg to 16 mg concentration of nicotine. And if you are a heavy smoker going through more than one pack each day, you must choose a juice with a nicotine content of 18 mg to 36 mg.

If you are still unsure about the amount that is perfect for you, start with medium strength, and you can gradually adjust it as per your choice.

The right composition

Vaping juices come in three forms.

The first one is where the base solution of the liquid is entirely made of propylene glycol. PG provides an intense taste and that ‘throat hit’ which smokers crave for, but you can’t get big clouds of vapor with a PG based liquid.

The second type is made of vegetable glycerin, which has a sweet taste in itself that somewhat suppresses the flavor of the liquid, but it can produce massive clouds of luscious smoke.

The third type is the most common one, which is a combination of both PG and VG. A combination that you can easily find is the 40:60 ratio of PG and VG. If you are allergic to PG, you can get a liquid with a much lesser concentration of the compound.
