At Swagger Magazine, we pride ourselves on celebrating innovation, luxury, and artistry.
This year’s Creators Gala at Miami Art Week 2024 epitomized that mission. Held on December 5, 2024, at the sophisticated 1 Ocean South in Miami Beach’s exclusive South Pointe district, the event brought together tastemakers, innovators, and visionaries for an unforgettable evening that seamlessly blended high art, style, and luxury.
The artistic highlight of the evening was Narine Arakelian’s “Metamorphosis of Aphrodite Stone,” an evocative installation exploring themes of transformation, beauty, and the merging of tradition with modernity. Installed with the assistance of TaskRabbit, the artwork captivated guests with its bold visuals and deep narrative.
Reflecting on her participation, Arakelian said:
“Being part of an event like the Creators Gala is a testament to the power of creativity and collaboration. My work here symbolizes the fusion of tradition and innovation, reflecting the seamless blending of the physical and virtual worlds that define our era.”
Her words resonated with the essence of the gala—a celebration of boundary-pushing creativity and the artistry that shapes our world today.
Narine Arakelian, an Armenian interdisciplinary feminist artist, has garnered international acclaim for her innovative fusion of fine arts and digital technologies. Her work delves into social justice and gender identity, employing mediums such as performance art, installation, painting, sculpture, video art, and environmental art. A graduate of Moscow’s State Surikov Institute, Arakelian has showcased her art at prestigious venues, including the Venice Biennale. Her recent exhibition, “Metamorphosis of Aphrodite’s Stones,” exemplifies her commitment to blending tradition with modernity, making her the ideal artist to embody the spirit of Swagger Magazine’s Creators Gala.
The evening’s success was increased by its charismatic co-hosts: Jimmy Akingbola, acclaimed for his role in Bel-Air, and Cindy Prado, a Miami-based influencer and fitness personality with a global following of over three million. Both are set to appear on the cover of Swagger Magazine in early 2025, embodying the elegance and creativity the gala celebrated.
Akingbola shared his thoughts on the night:
“My first Art Basel experience has been stunning—an incredible mix of art, culture, and innovation. To end my first night with such an elegant event, celebrating excellence and luxury with Swagger Magazine, was perfect. Narine’s art was stunning, and so was the artist. I couldn’t have asked for a more lovely co-host than Cindy Prado. Altogether, an unforgettable experience.”
Every detail of the event was designed to embody luxury, including an exceptional selection of bespoke cocktails. Guests sipped on the bold “Swagger Margarita” and the refreshing “Cindy Prado Paloma,” both crafted with Authentico Organic Tequila. Hendrick’s Gin offered refined classics like Cucumber Lemonade and Collins Avenue, while Sommsation Wines provided an elegant pairing of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Guests seeking a modern twist enjoyed Freshie Organic Tequila Seltzer, and Voss Water ensured hydration without compromise.
The culinary experience was equally impeccable, with gourmet appetizers crafted by top chefs, perfectly complementing the stunning rooftop views of Miami Beach’s glittering skyline.
The Creators Gala wasn’t just an event; it was a convergence of icons. Miami Dolphins star Terron Armstead, emerging artist Deoca, and models Cloe Greco and Jaz Lario mingled with distinguished guests. The vibrant energy of the evening was amplified by KUFF, an Ibiza-based DJ whose Afro House, Latin Tech, and Tech House beats kept the dance floor alive into the early hours.
Beyond the glamour, the gala also partnered with GettingAlong.com, an initiative focused on inspiring the next generation of educators and policymakers. This partnership underscored the event’s broader mission of merging luxury with meaningful contributions to society, proving that true success lies in building a legacy.
The Creators Gala was more than a celebration; it was a statement of Swagger Magazine’s vision. From Narine Arakelian’s inspiring art to the electrifying entertainment and thoughtful partnerships, the evening exemplified our commitment to celebrating artistry, excellence, and innovation.
As we look to the future, Swagger Magazine remains dedicated to bringing you more unforgettable events and stories. At Swagger, we don’t just showcase luxury—we live it.
