Having stayed at the hotel in back August, we were impressed by the spacious room, especially for New York standards. Plush bedding and blackout curtains ensured we could enjoy a restful sleep in the city that never sleeps. The room was also fully equipped with everything we needed, from a desk, television, and large closet to a handy mini-fridge. The bathroom was also well-stocked with Apotheke products—shampoo, conditioner, and soap—all made in Brooklyn, which added a nice local touch to the experience.
For those driving into the city, Crowne Plaza HY36 takes the stress out of parking. While there’s no on-site parking garage, the hotel has partnered with a nearby lot offering daily discounted rates, so you can explore Manhattan without the usual parking headaches.
Though we didn’t dine at the on-site restaurant Burgerology, guests can expect gourmet USDA Prime burger creations that take the traditional flavours to a whole new level. In-room dining service is also available, and the hotel’s 24-hour fitness centre features Peloton bikes and several other high-quality, up-to-date pieces of equipment.
A highlight of our stay had to be the attentive staff, who welcomed us warmly and were accommodating from check-in to checkout. Whether we were seeking recommendations, needing assistance with reservations, or simply enjoying a casual chat about our day, they consistently went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience.
