Go to a music festival
Every state and territory hosts music festivals throughout the year. One notable festival is Splendour In The Grass which is one of Australia’s biggest. It is located at the North Byron Parklands in New South Wales in July every year. There have been a lot of notable local and international musicians who have played there including Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and Powderfinger.
Experience the Bathurst 1000 motor race
Motorsports are a big thing in Australia and the Bathurst 1000 is the pinnacle event of this sport. Races have been won at that location since 1938 and have been driven by many different vehicles since then, with the V8 Supercars being the most popular era beginning in 2001. Witnessing the race first-hand at Mount Panorama is an experience in itself. There are certain places on the mountain to get the best out of the races notably The Cutting, a sharp corner where you can see the cars coming from Quarry Corner and around to Griffins Bend.
