Get Your Swagger Right: Top Things Guys Do That Turn Women Off

Sailun Tires

Whether it’s your first date or you and your girl have been together for a while if you want to win over her heart, then your swag needs to be in order. Though men will be men there are some things that you do that either makes a woman question your future together or run for the hills. You should never, of course, change who you are for anyone, but if you’re guilty of these top pet peeves, perhaps change isn’t a bad thing.

Braggers

It’s not uncommon for guys or girls to talk about their accomplishments, skills, or talents but there’s a very thin line between letting someone know your good qualities and bragging. No woman wants to be with a man that constantly talks about himself. Overly big egos could cost you a second date or a committed relationship.

There’s nothing wrong with being confident but don’t cross over to being cocky. When talking with a woman be just a good a listener as you are a talker. Ask her about her accomplishments, skills, and talents and give her a chance to let you know what she’s about.

Smokers

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you know that smoking is not only harmful to your health, it’s a terribly unattractive habit. Smoking leaves a bad smell on your clothes, stains on your teeth, and it ages you faster. All of which aren’t things a woman really looks for in a man.

Putting down the cigarettes might be more of a challenge in the beginning but making this change is good for your health and your swag. You could ask your doctor about aids like patches, gum, or other medications to reduce your cravings. You could also switch to vaping. Companies such as KandyPens offer a variety of vape products.  It is one of the easiest ways to get the cigarette smell off your clothes and out of your car.

Over Sexualized

Men and sex go together like peanut butter and jelly but when you go too far it turns women off. Most women are a lot more conservative and laid back when it comes to sex and are disgusted by guys who are overly sexual. If every conversation is about sex, you can’t keep your eyes to yourself, you’re obsessed with every sexy model on social media, and you always want her to be in the mood to get it on, you’re not going to get very far.

No one is saying you can’t express your sexuality. Nor does it mean that you can’t have a natural attraction to women. However, if you’re trying to get with a girl long term you have to tone it down. Focus more on romance and intimacy than sex.

Unkempt

Here’s a doozy. Women absolutely hate it when a guy does not keep up with his hygiene and appearance. You don’t have to be dressed to the nines every time she’s around but the effort must be made regularly. A guy with a wild beard, body odor, dirty nails, wrinkled clothes, or bad breath are a big no-no.

You can’t claim to have swagger if you’re unkempt. Do yourself and everyone around you a favor and clean up your act – literally. Invest in some nice scented soap, aftershave, and shampoo and use them daily. Head to the barber to get groomed regularly (or do it yourself). Be sure to brush your teeth – especially before going out of the house. Lastly, consider your wardrobe. Again you don’t need to be dressed up all the time, but you should get rid of anything that’s old, has holes or tears in it, or a permanent odor to it. You can have a closet with some common staples like t-shirts, jeans, button-ups, shorts, and a few pairs of shoes. Then, continue to build upon it as you see things you like.

There are some things about a guy that a woman can overlook, but others are a certain deal-breaker. If you’re really into a girl and want to see where things can go, you want to make sure you’re not guilty of any of the above-mentioned pet peeves. None of these things means changing who you are, but it does mean taking better care of yourself and evolving as a man.
