How Often Should I Clean My Jupiter Pen?

Several vape pen components require occasional cleaning. If you use a Jupiter pen for vaping oil, you will probably not need to spend much time cleaning the battery. As long as a cartridge does not leak, you can simply wipe down the body with a damp cloth and avoid touching the contacts. Jupiter Liquid 5 and Liquid 9 oil cartridges are disposable and do not need to be cleaned. The refillable Liquid 6 Glass Oil Cartridge is the only component that should be cleaned out after several fills.

Clean the Mouthpiece

The mouthpiece of a reusable cartridge is easy to clean, and it is a good idea to do so about once a week. Liquid 6 Glass Oil Cartridges have ceramic mouthpieces that can be held under running water and allowed to air dry. You can also deep clean a mouthpiece using a Q-tip dipped in isopropyl alcohol. Do not attempt to remove mouthpieces from cartridges designed for one-time use.

Remove Residue From Refillable Cartridges

Occasionally remove the mouthpiece from a refillable cartridge and use a Q-tip dipped in isopropyl alcohol to remove residue from the interior and rim of the tank. Avoid making contact with, or putting pressure on, the heating coil. You may want to replace refillable cartridges after many uses, as it can be difficult to remove every trace of residue.

Maintain a Jupiter Pen

Make sure that refillable cartridges are tightly sealed to prevent any oil from leaking onto the contacts of a Jupiter vape pen. If you must wipe off the contacts, do so gently with a Q-tip. The best way to refill a pen involves the use of a blunt-tip oil syringe or the Jupiter Klik Dispenser to carefully drip oil into the cartridge. Do not overfill the cartridge. These guidelines are intended to help vapers maintain the cleanliness and functionality of Jupiter pens.
