1968 Dodge Super Charger ‘Hellephant’

If you are looking to spend a ton of money on an impressive custom car that’s an absolute monster on the road, check out the “Hellephant” from the American motor parts and service organization Mopar. Promising power and performance, this crate engine has an incredible 1,000 horsepower with 950 lb-ft of torque.

The Hellephant has as much as a 41% increase in power compared to Mopar’s 707-hp Hellcrate 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 crate engine, introduced a little  a year ago. It is made from aluminum and has a plug-and-play concept that is unique in the industry. Water pump, flywheel, front sump oil pan, supercharger with throttle body, fuel injectors and coil packs are included in the complete engine assembly.

This powerful engine may be used in pre-1976 muscle cars and off-road vehicles. Mopar revealed the Hellephant at the 2018 SEMA show in Las Vegas. It was showcased in a beautiful 1968 Dodge Super Charger muscle car, which is the perfect vehicle to house the engine.

The prices for the Hellephant and the accompanying accessory kits have not been yet. It will be available in the first quarter of 2019. Ready to feel like Vin Diesel on the road yet?
