Fashion week continues, and another great day showcasing Toronto Fashion talent has come to a wrap, and it truly left an impression. From excellent use of furs by Pascal Labelle and North Aware, to stylish use of leathers, neoprene and straps by Xian, the common denominator for the day was leaving us wanting more!

The custom coat-maker, Pascal Labelle, has been producing luxurious personalized coats since 2005 with a notable list of celebrity and personality followers. Labelle is known for his rugged and masculine design through the use of gorgeous leather and fur. I am a huge fan of the many elaborately decorated shearling aviation jackets coming down the runway tonight; specifically, the ones with oversized collars, double collars, and especially with a combination of both. Labelle’s outerwear pieces are the statement pieces you would want to invest in.
The Montreal based designer, Xian Wang, left us with many restless speculations through his Fall/Winter 2017 collection. It was an eclectic blend of bold and edgy pieces that were all in black and perfect for the fashion-forward rebels. His perforated and boxy fit neoprene tops felt quite effortless, his utilitarian pants were highly avant-garde and not to mention practical, but let’s not forget about the amazing active wear and knitwear pieces in lurex yarn that will brighten the most understated shades of black.
Founded in 2015 by a software engineer, Jamil Khan, to create a multi-functional winter coat that will help combat the frigid Canadian winter. The brand is known for their “winter coat[s] with built-in gloves and scarf, hat, tech and glasses pocket, length extension, tracker and a removable liner.” This is the Toronto-based label’s first showing for Toronto Fashion Week and they did not fail to impress with their range of smart parka styles along with a preview of the label’s venture into the more sophisticated category of outerwear, the wool coat.
Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about the #MensFashion4Hope Celebrity walk, stay tuned for a separate post showcasing the celebs who got to strut the runway for charity!
