In 1999, Nike launched NIKEiD, offering custom colorways for various popular models, finally making those photoshopped ’95s a reality. As the allure for color variants began to fade, the shoemaker giant stunned us once again taking individual design to new heights with NIKEiD Bespoke, presenting a full customization of each sneaker component with countless materials and colorways. Today the American label takes its iD line one step further with the release of the Air Force 1 Bespoke, turning the legendary basketball designed sneaker into a premium menswear casual shoe. Featuring a removed lining, handcrafted laces, personalized laser etching and genuine leather, this limited edition release pairs well with selvedge denim jeans or tailored chinos. Currently available at Nike’s 21 Mercer Street location, the Air Force 1 Bespoke retails for $800 USD, and if you’re one of the first 30 customers, your Bespokes will come inside a wooden box complete with laser etching and a custom seal.
