Patrick Dempsey Joins the Cast of Dexter®: Original Sin on Paramount+
Christian Slater Takes the Lead in This Highly Anticipated Prequel
Hold onto your scalpels, Dexter fans! The latest buzz from Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios is sure to excite: Patrick Dempsey is joining the cast of Dexter®: Original Sin. Dempsey, who will be a series regular, steps into the role of Aaron Spencer, the Captain of Miami Metro Homicide, who has a deep, decades-long relationship with Harry Morgan, played by the iconic Christian Slater.
Set in the colorful and chaotic Miami of 1991, Dexter®: Original Sin dives into the origins of Dexter Morgan, with Patrick Gibson playing the young Dexter. The series explores how Dexter transitions from an ordinary student to a vigilante serial killer, guided by his father Harry. With Harry’s mentorship, Dexter learns to harness his dark urges through a strict moral code, targeting those who truly deserve it while staying off law enforcement’s radar. This delicate balancing act becomes even more challenging as Dexter starts a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.
The cast lineup is nothing short of stellar, featuring Molly Brown as Debra Morgan, James Martinez as Angel Batista, Christina Milian as Maria LaGuerta, Alex Shimizu as Vince Masuka, and Reno Wilson as Bobby Watt.
